Discover the secret behind Tanzania’s famous Arabica coffee — from bean to steaming cup, set amid lush green hills.
Coffee Plantation Tour – from Bean to Cup
Visit a local coffee plantation in the surroundings of Moshi or Arusha and learn all about one of Tanzania’s most important export products: Arabica coffee. This excursion brings together nature, culture and flavour in one rewarding experience.
You stroll through lush coffee fields at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru, while a local guide explains how coffee is planted, harvested, dried and roasted. You will then have the chance to take part in roasting and grinding the beans yourself — followed, of course, by tasting a freshly brewed cup of coffee straight from the source.
During the visit, you meet local farmers who proudly share their knowledge and traditions. An authentic and relaxed activity that offers deeper insight into daily life within the Chagga people and Meru people communities.
